The test of the three papers of Pierre Marie is used in neuropsychology to highlight a possible comprehension disorder during a aphasiaThe examiner says:
There are three pieces of paper in front of you: a large one, a medium one, and a small one. Throw the large one on the ground, give me the medium one, and keep the small one for yourself.
It is necessary to count one point for two successful items, two in case of total success.
Generally this test is associated with that of geometric figures which includes:
- A circle in a square.
- A triangle above a square.
- A cross below a square.
There are a multitude of tests available to test patients who suspect they have aphasia. One example is the Token Test.
